About Us

O.P.M. Tooling cc was formed in November 1994 by Mr. Paul Kliment and Mr. Michael Kliment, a father and son combination.

The company started out in a small 85m2 building with two employees and one of each: 25Ton press, milling machine, lathe and drilling machine.

It has now grown to a workspace of +-2000m2, 45 employees, a range of presses from 5Ton to 200Ton, spot welding, top class toolmaking, surface grinding of flanges for catalytic converters, and CNC milling and wire cutting facilities.

Since our opening, the company has grown from strength to strength, and has implemented the SABS ISO 9002:1994 quality system on 11 November 1998, the SABS ISO 9000:2000 quality system at the end of 2003 and now we have the internationally acclaimed SABS ISO/TS 16949:2002 quality system obtained in March 2004. We are also certified by General Motors with their QSB quality system.< /span>

Our machines include presses from 5Ton to 200Ton, surface grinders, milling machines, guillotines, strip feeders, spot welders, lathes, automatic lathes, wire cutters and CNC milling machines.

We are involved in pressing of copper, brass, mild steel, stainless steel, and all other commercial quality metals. Our tooling standards are amongst the best in South Africa and all our procedures are strictly controlled and maintained.

It is our policy to provide product and service quality to meet the needs and expectations of all our customers.

This policy is achieved through our employees and the implementation and maintenance of an effective quality system which meets our customers’ requirements and is currently based on the ISO/TS 16949:2009, ISO 9001:2008 and General Motors QSB quality systems.

We, at O.P.M. Tooling cc, recognise that it is our responsibility to ensure that all our employees are adequately trained and motivated, and to ensure that the Quality System is constantly implemented and maintained in line with changing circumstances and expectations.

Our products are one of the best produced out of South Africa and are seen on vehicles throughout the world.
